Become a Sister City Chaperone!

The Burbank Sister City Committee is excited to announce an opening for a chaperone to travel with our nine Burbank Student Delegates to Ota, Japan for two weeks this summer!
In the past we have had a number of teacher chaperones and now, we’d love to make this free travel opportunity available to you!
Since our students will stay with host families, no weeknight or weekend chaperone supervision is required. All activities will be planned and facilitated by our host city ambassadors. Chaperones will be lodged with host chaperones, where meaningful cultural exchanges and lifelong friendships can be made.
In order to meet the eligibility requirements, applicants should meet the following criteria:
  • Interested in representing Burbank through cultural exchange
  • Hold a valid passport through Dec 2023
  • Have some experience managing small groups of students
  • Have an adventurous spirit
  • Be available for travel between 7/10-7/24, 2023
